Fortis Inc., the Canadian developer, demanding a stop to the flooding of 22 miles of the Macal river and endangering rare jaguars and scarlet macaws, a plan which will reportedly destroy 2,000 acres of precious rain forest. Fortis Inc. has illegally begun work on the 30 million dollar dam without public hearings and
despite the findings by it's own environmentalists which
advise against building the dam.
